Oct. 29--If you thought Latin was a dead language, hundreds of students who descended on Palo Alto's Castilleja School on Saturday might have two words for you: Minime vero! Loosely translated, it means "No way!" Not only don't they groan about memorizing verbs, about 400 students from Berkeley to Los Gatos to Reno gathered on their day off to immerse themselves in everything Latin. They competed in Latin spelling bees, took tests on ancient mythology and listened to lectures on Greek astronomy.
