Since its founding in 1965, Boston Digital (Milford, Massachusetts) has built a reputation primarily as a niche machine tool builder, with particular expertise in multi-axis applications, and in high-speed control technology. However, if new company president Mike Wicken has his way, that will change very quickly as Boston Digital assumes the position of a broad-line builder, aimed at the medium- to high-technology range of the machining center market.
