The African Development Bank (ADB) has called on the Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries to summon the necessary political will to integrate their economies and to take advantage of the enhanced political, social and economic prospects unfolding in post-apartheid South Africa. The ADB made this call while launching its Report on Economic Integration in Southern Africa at the 1994 SADC Consultative Meeting in Gaborone.
