Oct. 30--Lincoln defensive end Richetti "The Machete" Jones said Monday morning that Oklahoma State is sticking by him, five days after he suffered a hip injury during practice that ended his high school career.
Jones, who has orally committed to Oklahoma State, did not play in Friday's game against Samuell after having surgery that day at Baylor Medical Center. The area's No. 3-ranked recruit dislocated his left hip and fractured two other bones in his hip after leaping to block a pass during last Wednesday's practice. "My left leg gave out," said Jones, who was still in the hospital Monday morning. "It was a freak accident." ...
