Oct. 31--Sixth grader Kaylyn Santangelo tucked her jeans into her boots and stepped gingerly into the chilly water.
"We have to find those freaky weird things," she called upstream to her science class partners. "Macroinvertebrates!" she added when the word surfaced.
Kaylyn and 37 other students from Pennwood Middle School in the Pennsbury School District were at Bucks County's Tyler State Park on Friday last week to determine the health of Porter Run, a Neshaminy Creek tributary.
