South Eugene proved to be a resilient bunch on Friday.
One week after a disheartening one-point loss to Roseburg - a game decided by a disputed missed extra-point kick in double overtime - the Axemen bounced back to hand visiting North Medford a 28-21 loss in a Southwest Conference game.
With the win, South Eugene improved to 6-2 overall and 2-2 in league entering next week's showdown at third-ranked Sheldon to close out the regular season.
