Nov. 1--A plagiarism controversy at Southern Illinois University touched the administration's top ranks Tuesday as a committee ruled that the chancellor of the Carbondale campus should have attributed parts of the university's strategic plan to another source. The failure to credit other sources properly has compromised the plan's credibility, according to the three-member panel of administrators appointed by the university president.
