Carrie Quinn's quest for the perfect place to house her quilt shop was similar to searching for a needle in a haystack.
Some locations were too expensive, while others would require too much renovation for what she had in mind - a peaceful setting that would encourage creativity and camaraderie among customers.
Finally the 17-year Fox River Grove resident settled on a 100- year-old farmhouse set high on a hill overlooking Route 14 in the Grove. Quinn opened a Pieceful Gathering Quilt Shop last August.
