Nov. 2--TOKYO -- Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc. plans to expand retail banking services in Southeast Asia, which is expected to develop a market for such services in the future, Chairman Ryosuke Tamakoshi said.
"We will naturally concentrate business resources in the United States and Asia that feature greater growth potential," he said in an interview with Kyodo News about a year after Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group Inc. and UFJ Holdings Inc. merged to become MUFG, the world's largest financial group in terms of assets.
