Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of the Internet. I use it for work, and I use it for play. But there is a "dirty little secret" that is creeping up on Internet users that could severely alter the way we use the Internet. It's called greed. The "greedy" culprits are the telephone and cable companies who now control more than 95% of all Internet access. They want to divide the Internet into a two-tiered system. The top tier, high-speed toll-road would be restricted to large companies that can afford to pay high fees for preferential access to the Internet.
