Campaign finance reports filed this week with the South Dakota secretary of state indicate the opponents in the state's abortion battle each will spend about $2 million - much of it on a barrage of TV ads in the closing days.
Vote Yes For Life, the campaign supporting the near-complete ban on abortions, reported donations of more than $2.1 million. Of that, $1.9 million came through more than 6,000 individual donations, about two-thirds of them from South Dakotans, campaign officials said Wednesday.
