Nov. 4--RALEIGH, N.C. -- For the second straight exhibition game, the Northern State men's basketball team grabbed the attention of an NCAA Division I foe and kept it to the end of the game.
Two days after losing 98-94 at Vanderbilt in Tennessee, NSU held a seven-point lead over North Carolina State with 10 minutes left in the game. The North Carolina State Wolfpack rallied for a 78-71 exhibition win over the Northern State Wolves on Friday at Historic Memorial Gym.
Northern State proved to be a worthy foe for a North Carolina State club that has qualified for the NCAA tournament the last five seasons.
