Nov. 4--Nine properties in one of Chattanooga's most venerable neighborhoods are set to open their doors to visitors from 2 to 6 p.m. today during the St. Elmo Fall Tour of Homes. Returning after a hiatus of nearly two decades, the event coincides with the free St. Elmo/Alton Park Harvest Festival slated for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in Ben Miller Park at 1171 W. 40th Street, according to Jennifer Ware, 38, vice chairman of the St. Elmo Historic Preservation Committee.
