Nov. 4--Thirty-five jobs from Conover are moving to the Gold Toe-Moretz plant on Plaid Street in Burlington.
The recently merged hosiery company is shutting down the knitting division of its Conover facility. Sixty-seven jobs are being cut in Conover when the division moves to Alamance County early next year.
"Our management team is working with state and local governments to aid our associates during this transition," said Ray Walker, the company's vice president of operations.
