Nov. 5--COLLEGE STATION -- At 5:33 p.m. Saturday, on the last weekend before election day, Gov. Rick Perry and a few of his friends slipped through a gate on the west side of Kyle Field with little fanfare and only a few cohorts. A few minutes later, Gene Stallings -- former Texas A&M coach, player and one of Bear Bryant's now-famous "Junction Boys" -- shuffled toward an entry gate himself. Both dignitaries received their typical handshakes and well-wishes from adoring fans. Really, no one was there to see Perry or Stallings.
