Nov. 5--Interested in helping to send gift packages to soldiers overseas?
There will be a donation drive to benefit Gary's Care Packages on Veteran's Day, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the Armed Forces Recruiting Station, 6412 N. Navarro St. When U.S. Army Cpl. Gary W. Walters Jr. was killed in April 2005 will serving in Iraq, his family and friends decided to keep his memory alive by providing care packages to soldiers one package at a time.
