78 female patients with symptoms of urinary irritation such as frequent micturition, urgent urination, painful urination and distension of the lower abdomen took part in the study. All patients had taken antibiotics for a long time with no effect. There was no abnormality evident in urine tests, no bacteria growth in repeated urine cultures and no abnormality in pyelography. Cystoscopy of 60 cases showed no urinary obstruction. The patients were divided into a treatment group and a control group. 36 patients in the treatment group were 24-57 years old (average 44) with a disease duration ranging from 3 months to 20 years. 42 cases in the control group were 25-57 years old ...
