Abstract
Disorders of the gastro-intestinal tract (GIT) are among the most common treated disorders in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Since the beginnings of internal medicine there has been great emphasis on proper intestinal functioning and dietary intake, and how these are fundamental to good health. This article looks at one of China's most prominent clinical physicians, Dr. Ma Jun of the AnHui Hospital of TCM, and his approach to this ever-increasing problem.
