Nov. 6--NEWPORT NEWS -- Working oyster ground near the James River's Isle of Wight shoreline last week, Lenny Williams and Joe "Leon" Nicosia pulled up 10 bushels of oysters in little more than two hours. Incoming foul weather and a mostly empty fuel tank sent them back to the pier in Deep Creek early, but with a decent catch on board. Motoring across the James, the two oystermen compared the current oyster harvest to the last two years. "There's no match," Nicosia said. "There's a lot fewer boats out," Williams said.
