Health of China's yellow river continues to deteriorate
Beijing, Nov 6 (PTI) The health of the Yellow River, China's second longest, continues to deteriorate due to overuse, pollution, silting and a dramatic decrease in water flow.
Overuse of water resources was threatening the life of the Yellow River, director of the Yellow River Conservancy Committee, Li Guoying said.
Sixty per cent of the water in the Yellow River is used for human and economic activity, compared with an internationally recognised limit of 40 per cent utilisation of river water.
