CARLSBAD, Calif. -- Ashworth, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASHW), a leading designer of golf-inspired lifestyle sportswear, today announced the election of Peter M. Weil as the Company's Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Weil will also continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Weil brings an extensive background in apparel and retailing to his new responsibilities. From 1996 to 2004, he served as Senior Vice President/Director of Management Horizons (PricewaterhouseCoopers - Retail Consulting Group).
