Nov. 6--Collin County health officials are trying to quash a whooping cough outbreak that's infected at least four children at one Plano school.
The sick students attend Centennial Elementary School, said Janet Glowicz, the nurse epidemiologist for Collin County Health Care Services.
"Having this many children in one location [infected] would be considered an outbreak," Ms. Glowicz said.
As a precaution, two other children exposed to the illness in Frisco ISD were asked to stay home from school, Ms. Glowicz said.
