PROJECT OVERVIEW
The local JSW STEEL LTD. is currently gearing-up to build 3 new steel plants in eastern India. Construction plans under consideration call for building mills that will each have an installed generating capacity of 10 million tons per year.
The new plants are to be located in the states of West Bengal, Orissa and Jharkhand. According to Sajjan Jindal, JSW Vice-Chairman & Managing Director, the undertaking will involve a total investment of $18,000,000,000.
Project completion is scheduled by 2020.
