PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local SAUD BAHWAN GROUP recently awarded a construction contract for a planned residential township in Sohar to India-based LARSEN & TOUBRO (L&T). According to the terms of the award, L&T will be responsible for building a total of: 288 two and three-bedroom apartments; 149 three and four-bedroom villas.

The cost to complete the real estate development project, by mid-2008, has been estimated at $120,000,000.

L&T employs a total staff of about 23,000 and is acknowledged to be India's largest engineering and construction conglomerate. The group is also involved in information technology, cement manufacturing and the ...
