The recent publication of Innovation in Chinese Medicine by the same author serves as a reminder of the merits of Elisabeth Hsu's first book, which has been largely overlooked by the acupuncture profession. This is mainly because it was published and distributed in the field of medical anthropology rather than Chinese medicine. It is, however, rather less academic than Innovation and is an excellent blend of ideas, narrative and information.
