Nov. 7--McCOOK, Neb. -- McCook gave up its seventh touchdown of the season and little else in Monday's 42-7 rout of Cozad in the Class B quarterfinals. Craig Fritz had 130 yards and four touchdowns for Class B's top-ranked Bison (11-0). They shut out No. 7 Cozad (8-3) for the final three quarters, and the Haymakers gained just 72 yards after Eric Love's 79-yard touchdown run. "It's a pretty special defense," Bison coach Jeff Gross said. "We don't have a lot of superstars out there. They all play their position and play it dang well. They read their keys and stay home." ......The total included 72 thieves, 19 murderers and 12 rapists. There are some offenders who were recalled to custody up to 25 years ago but are still on the run - 19 people recalled between 1984 and 1999 had not been returned to prison by last month.
