Nov. 7--St. Mary's, riding a wave of momentum and support, defeated Nardin in three games on Monday to win the Monsignor Martin Association girls volleyball title. The momentum was provided by sophomore setter Elyse Texido with 43 assists and sophomore Allyson Severyn, who dominated the net with 14 kills and 14 blocks. The support came from approximately 50 well-behaved varsity and JV football players, who cheered their team's every point from the sideline. "It's for school spirit. We support them.
