MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Sepracor Inc. (Nasdaq: SEPR) today announced the publication of results of a large, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, two-week study of LUNESTA([R]) brand of eszopiclone for the treatment of insomnia in elderly patients. The study was conducted in 49 centers across the U.S. and included elderly patients (64-86 years of age; n=264) who met DSM-IV([R]) 1 criteria for primary insomnia and screening polysomnographic (PSG; a type of study conducted in a sleep laboratory) criteria.
