Sooner or later we tire of landscapes, flowers and photos of Aunt Minnie. We become skilled at producing reasonably good photos of common subjects, and the there is little left to challenge us. At this point it seems we should explore unfamiliar subjects and emphasize more difficult and less common themes.
We often fail to appreciate the fact that photography allows us to record - in a way that we can see, study and ponder - events that are far too fast for our senses to perceive.
