Nov. 9--Nick Folk's name was not on the list of 10 semifinalists announced this week for the Ray Guy Award, given to the nation's best punter.
"Shocked," UA special teams coach Joe Robinson said. Consider the statistics. Folk's average of 44.4 yards is better than seven of the 10 candidates. His 15 punts that have landed inside the 20-yard line is better than four of the kickers and as good as two more.
"It's insane," Robinson said. The award, presented by the Greater Augusta (Ga.) Sports Council, considers average net yards, percentage of punts inside the 20, average return yards and percentage of punts not ...
