Nov. 10--Jazz guitarist Jim Hall could play it safe and no one would say boo.
At 76, he's a revered player, cited by dozens of other guitarists as their main inspiration. If he isn't the undisputed guitar god of the jazz world, he's up there.
So, what's the last thing anyone would expect from Hall? How about performing mostly jazz improvisations (think open-ended, no rules, no set list, no net) with one of jazz's brightest young pianists?
