Nov. 10--It may have felt like Woodsboro had won the state UIL Class 1A state volleyball championship Tuesday night when the Lady Eagles defeated top-ranked Round Top-Carmine in the regional quarterfinals.
But for the Lady Eagles, it was more like making a statement for a small community nestled in southwest Refugio County. "The last several years, it seems like it's always been Round Top-Carmine," Lady Eagles coach Starla Jones said.
