Marilyn A. Locke of Dedham, a former nun, died Wednesday at her brother's home in Dedham. She was 61.
Born in Boston, she was raised in Roslindale.
She was educated in Boston public schools. She attended the Mozart Grammar School, the Washington Irving Junior High School and graduated from Roslindale High School in 1963.
After graduation, Ms. Locke worked for the Boston Gas Co. as a clerical worker for a year. After leaving the BGC, she joined the Little Sisters of the Holy Family, a French-Canadian order of nuns whose mission was to staff religious houses, seminaries and diocesan residences with household and domestic support.
