Nov. 11--AMES -- Bill Marsau is every Cyclone's son. Raised in Hudson, he helped the Pirates win state championships in football and basketball. Off he went to Iowa State and its new head coach Dan McCarney, who said Marsau was one of his first recruits to say no to Iowa and yes to the Cyclones. Shifting from defensive line to the offensive front, Marsau enjoyed a solid career for McCarney from 1996 through 1999. Veterinary school came next for Marsau, who finished that phase of his education in 2004. Now, he works for Iowa Select Farms in Iowa Falls.
