MILWAUKEE -- The rookie beat the veteran.
Tony Bennett made his head coaching debut a successful one Friday night as he steered Washington State to a 71-60 non-conference victory over Alabama-Birmingham, which was coached by veteran Mike Davis.
Derrick Low scored a career-high 28 points for the Cougars in a matchup of two teams opening the season with new coaches.
