Nov. 13--Look out, pomegranate. There's a new antioxidant-rich food hitting health-food shelves, and it's poised to become the next little red darling of the so-called Superfood world.
Goji berries -- a dried, tangy fruit the size of a small raisin -- are cropping up in a host of new products. The goji berry's taste falls somewhere between a date and a cranberry. But it's the antioxidant punch that's gaining the exotic berry attention and sales.
