Keyboard instruments in music classrooms may well put young students on the road toward both a greater interest in music and stronger overall academic achievement, as suggested by a new study sponsored by Baldwin Piano & Organ Company.
The research concludes that first-grade pupils who received music education utilizing a keyboard instrument rated music as their favorite school subject more often than did youngsters who received identical music education but without a keyboard in the classroom.
