New benefit designs and new ways to purchase plans begin tomorrow, Nov. 15

DETROIT, Nov. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and its HMO affiliate, Blue Care Network, were renewed by the federal government to offer Medicare Advantage and Part D prescription drug plans for 2007. The Blues are offering new benefit designs and expanding ways people can purchase the plans.

The changes for 2007 include:

* Creation of an insurance agent network to help sell plans to beneficiaries. Beginning Nov. 15, individuals can purchase the Blues' Medicare plans from some independent insurance agents in addition to going online on the CMS Web ...
