MARLBORO, Mass. -- Egenera Inc., a leader in datacenter virtualization architecture, today announced it will expand its line of Egenera([R]) Processing Blade([TM]) modules with two new two-socket offerings incorporating the new Quad-Core Intel([R]) Xeon([R]) Processor 5350, formerly codenamed "Clovertown" by Intel.
The newest Egenera pBlade([TM]) modules will deliver the highest performance Intel architecture for two-socket Quad-Core processors, utilizing a 1333MHz front side bus and 667MHz fully buffered memory. The Quad-Core Intel([R]) Xeon([R]) Processor 5350 will deliver eight cores of processing power at the traditional price of 2- and 4-core Intel pBlades. ...
