Nov. 14--In Connecticut, being a tax collector takes some ... let's just say, guts. Those who gather revenue for the state's municipalities say that while most property owners pay on time, some have to be confronted continuously. Collecting from people who haven't paid is a major focus of the job, involving repeated warnings and, sometimes, foreclosure, Connecticut Tax Collectors Association President Stan Gorzelany said.
