The reunion of Pearl Harbor survivors on Dec. 7 is the last official gathering by the organization as the generation who lived the day of infamy passes into history.
"The youngest of the living Pearl Harbor survivors, those who were in their teens and early twenties in 1941, are now in their early-to-mid eighties," said USS Arizona Memorial Association Executive Director George Sullivan. "Given the age of survivors and their limited ability to travel, the 65th anniversary will mark the last planned Survivors Summit, a reunion of survivors in Hawaii."
