WESTMINSTER, Colo. -- DeVry University/Westminster will host its third annual Young Women in Science and Technology (YWIST) event on Thursday, November 16, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Marriott Denver Tech Center at 4900 S. Syracuse St. The half-day retreat for high school girls will be co-sponsored by Schlumberger, Student Loan Xpress, The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and Sallie Mae.
The event is designed to encourage young women to consider post-secondary education and career opportunities in fields related to science and technology. It is expected to draw more than 500 high school students from nearly 50 different schools ...
