Nov. 15--Dear Action Line: This is the only time of year I ever see a mouse inside my house. Usually after an encounter with one of my cats, they don't return. But what should be done about these little visitors? -- D.J., Tulsa. Visitors on little mouse feet: The leaves are falling, the smell of wood smoke is in the air. Overnight temperatures zero in on freezing. The leaves begin to cover the grass seed and ground-dwelling insects that mice prefer to eat. The days grow shorter and the nights longer, and panic sets in. Mice sniff the breeze and find the warmth and wonderful cooking smells of your home. Time for their annual visit.
