Nov. 14--HARLINGEN -- An increase in patient care at local rehabilitation centers is another sign that marks the arrival of Winter Texans, along with more out-of-state license plates on cars and more RVs at local parks. Annalisa M. Hollingsworth, director of physical therapy services and vestibular rehabilitation specialist at Clark Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, said winter is the busiest time of year. The rehabilitation center treats about 40 patients per day during the winter season, as opposed to 20 to 35 per day the rest of the year, Hollingsworth said. This equals to about a 40 to 45 percent increase in revenue, she said. ...
