Nov. 16--Addison-based marketing firm Razor Competitive Edge is growing so fast that it can't afford to wait to hire people as new deals are signed. Instead, the company is hiring workers as much as half a year or more in advance of when they'll be needed. "Staffing is pretty much a full-time job," said Tom Cole, co-president of Razor.
Revenue has grown just as quickly for the 3 1/2-year-old company, to $28.7 million last year from $1.7 million in 2003. Razor's employee count over that time has ballooned to 90 from 18, and will stand at about 117 by the end of 2006. That business boom earned Razor the top spot in the ...
