EVERYONE, IT SEEMS, has a solution to the current crises in the Middle East, whether it's the earnest diplomats of the UN, meeting on occasions too numerous to document to discuss Iraq, Iran, Israel, the Palestinians, Lebanon, and Syria, or the bureaucrats of the European Union (EU), with their own plans for peace and stability in this, the hub of civilisation for millennia. It seems the rest of the world is convinced the Middle East is either unwilling or simply incapable of putting its own house in order.
