Article: Traditional Australian medicinal plants: screening for activity against human cancer cell lines.(Clinical report)

Abstract

Extracts of different Eremophila, Myoporum (Myoporaceae) and Prostanthera (Lamiaceae) plant species, important in the traditional medicine of Australian Aboriginal people, were investigated for activity against a number of cancer cell lines. Extracts from E. duttonii and E. sturtii species showed the strongest differential activity, with weak differential activity observed in other Myoporaceae extracts.
