Introduction
In June 2003 the Victorian Government initiated a review of the benefits, risks and practices of naturopathy and western herbal medicine in a project entitled The Risks and Regulatory Requirements for Complementary Healthcare.
The review was conducted through La Trobe University (LTU) with the following consortium of institutions and organisations:
* Centre for Complementary Medicine Research (CCMR) at the University of Western Sydney
* Australian Centre for Complementary Medicine Evaluation and Research (ACCMER)
