In an election year, Capitol Hill can be rather quiet in October and this year will be no different. Members of Congress are home in their districts campaigning for reelection and should not reconvene until after Election Day. However, while Congress sits in recess, the Supreme Court of the United States begins yet another busy term. As is required by law, the Supreme Court began its new term on the first Monday in October.
