Nov. 17--CRETE, Neb. -- If Saturday night's Class B football final between Elkhorn and Crete came with a tale of the tape, you'd look at it and wonder if Crete could find a soft spot on the canvas to land.
The Cardinals start a 190-pound center, a 180-pound left guard and a 175-pound nose guard. They average 184 pounds across the defensive line. Elkhorn, meanwhile, starts a 280-pound Notre Dame recruit at offensive and defensive tackle in Trevor Robinson and a 240-pound fullback and defensive end in Kevin Thomsen, another Division I prospect.
